FAREWELL Mrs P.. 😪

This morning our whole school had the opportunity to say goodbye 👋🏻 to Mrs Peters and to make a presentation from PTA and Yr6s in recognition of her amazing service over 23 years.

HARVEST ASSEMBLY

We also celebrated Harvest together as a school and enjoyed our Choir's fantastic Harvest song.

Thank you 🙏🏼 for all your Harvest gifts 🍎 🥕 🐟 this morning. We had an amazing array of food items to donate to a local Foodbank.

Our MONEYREA MARVELS and GROWTH MINDSET GURUS received their certificates and the Yr7 Halloween 🎃 Ballot was drawn.

Friday will be a non-uniform day.

HARVEST

Friday is our annual Harvest Assembly and we are asking each family to send in tins and packets of non-perishable items which will be distributed to a local FOODBANK.

PTA WINE and CHEESE QUIZ NIGHT

(Friday 17 November)

Tickets are now on sale priced £10 each.

Please note we are limited in the no. of tickets we can sell, so don’t miss out!

If you can supply wine (8 bottles) or ballot prizes, please contact Nicola or the school office.

Tuesday 7 November @ 7.00pm. I would encourage every parent come along and to get involved with PTA.

📣 STAFF 📣 ANNOUNCEMENT

Sometimes the end of an era heralds a new beginning.

Next Friday, our longest serving member of staff, Mrs Helen Peters (Mrs P) will be leaving us for pastures new and to be closer to family.

Helen has been a fixture at Moneyrea PS for 23 years and has given great support to our school and individual children in so many ways, not least in her role as Co-Director of the annual school show, leader on residential visits and star ⭐️ turn at our big PTA events. Mrs P has certainly left her mark and a legacy at Moneyrea.

Although Helen wants to go quietly; I know that won't be completely possible!

I know you will all join me in wishing Helen every blessing in the future and health and happiness.

Year 6 were using IZAK9 to explore mental maths strategies for addition. We also looked at patterns, prime numbers, factors and multiples.

The Year 7 Halloween Raffle tickets are on sale now! The raffle draw will take place on Friday 27th October, just before the Half-Term break. The raffle is helping Year 7 raise funds for their Loch Insh Trip next spring.
