EASTER ASSEMBLY
This mornings assembly was a very special and EGGciting one. Courtney taught us the meaning of Easter through a quiz pitting Mr Greer against Lewis from P7. This resulted in Mr Greer getting egged, or did he? There was an egg eating competition and we discovered the winners of this term’s Moneyrea Masters!
Check out the videos on our Facebook page.
Thanks to our PTA mums for organising the Easter Egg Hunt this morning.
Everyone had a ball.
Moneyrea Choir claimed second place at the Carrickfergus Music Festival. Well done boys and girls and Mrs McCarter and Miss Welsh. Well deserved!
Today it was our rugby boys turn to enjoy a fantastic afternoon of sport.
The boys played superbly and recorded wins against Strandtown, Stranmillis, Grange, Hollywood, Andrews and Carrickmannon. That’s six wins out of six.
Awesome boys.
A big thank you to organiser Chris Logan and Joy from Ulster Rugby.
Today our footballers and netballers enjoyed a great afternoon of sporting fun.
Our footballers played two matches against St Bernard's which were both great to watch because of the skill levels on show and the determination shown by both schools. Our A team drew 2 all in a hard fought match and our Bs won by 8 goals to 7 in an end-to-end thriller.
Our girls had their first competitive match of the season winning by 2 goals to nil against a well drilled Knocknagoney team. Well done girls, you're off to a great start.
A day of two halves and that was just the weather... braved the elements and hit the waters at Carlingford lough.
Survived a spot of canoeing and sailing. A few brave souls took the plunge into the tide before we headed back for a hot lunch.
This afternoon was spent doing archery and the zip line. But our luck ended just before dinner as the snow arrived. So tonight, in a change of plans, as a little treat we ventured to Coco’s in Newcastle.
A great day, we will all be ready for bed tonight!
Congratulations to our boys and girls who competed in the Lisburn and Castlereagh Cross CountryFinals at the Billy Neill Centre today.
Our boys' team came in third place, including individual 6th and 8th place finishes by two of our runners.
