MONEYREA PUPILS ENJOY THE VISIT OF QUEEN ELIZABETH II AND THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH TO STORMONT

I had the privilege of seeing Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip on just one occasion; the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, 27 June 2012.

Moneyrea Primary was fortunate to have received invitations to a community garden party in the grounds of Stormont and, along with some of our Year 7 pupils, was so proud to join the throng of 20,000 wellwishers celebrating 60 years of Her Majesty's reign.

Although it was in the days before iPhone cameras, and we weren't able to get to the front of the crowd, I still managed to get a few photos of this amazing couple.

A day we will always treasure.
