Moneyrea Primary School has joined forces with Safer Schools NI to promote a new App to provide information for parents to help ensure our children are safe when accessing the internet.
The digital world is available and easily accessible 24/7; its reach goes beyond the school gates into our homes and streets.
We believe that parents need an internet support service that will help them keep up to date with internet developments.
Safer Schools NI is a digital library of age-appropriate safeguarding resources that parents can accesss free of charge and at anytime.
Information regarding how to get access to the Safer Schools NI app has been sent home earlier this term.
Signing up for the Safer Schools NI app will benefit parents because:
πIt provides prompts, updates and warnings about online trends and threats, helping you stay in the loop with the digital world.
π Parents can find out about fake news, influencers, harmful content and more.
π Parents can get to grips with social media and the various gaming platforms. Learn the latest buzzwords, the risks new apps may pose and how to set the best privacy settings for your children.
π Parents can read advice on issues such as bullying, image sharing, mental health, consent and healthy relationships.
π The app will allow access to Moneyrea School Facebook page; Google Classroom; Seesaw; school calendar; and school news - all in one place!
