• Our Acorn Values - Acts of Kindness Challenge

  This half-term we are practising KINDNESS, which is one of our school's ACORN VALUES. We chose the acorn as a symbol as our school emblem is the OAK TREE.

  Teachers and classroom assistants are on the look out for children who show kindness and are rewarding them with kindness vouchers.

  The vouchers are tallied up for each class each week and at half-term our kindest class will be announced.

  The prize for being the kindest class will be lunch at THE AULD HOUSE.

  So far in first place is Yr4 with 13 vouchers, Yr7 are second with 11 vouchers and Yr2 3rd with 8 vouchers.

  Dear parents

  I hope you had a great summer and that all is well with you and your family.

  We are really looking forward to welcoming our pupils back to school on Wednesday 25th.

  I will send a more detailed email on Monday but will share the following key information in advance:

  1. All previous Covid mitigations will remain in place until the end of October, when they will be reviewed.

  2. Children are to enter through external classroom doors.

  3. Parents are asked to socially distance and to wear face masks within the school grounds.

  4. School will finish at 2.00pm from 25th - 27th August (nursery and Yr1 have their own timetable. From Tuesday 31st we will revert to our normal timetable.

  6. Yr3 late days (Tuesday- Thursday) will commence from 31st August.

  7. School will close at 2.00pm on Fridays for all pupils.

  8. After School club is available for all registered Yr 1 - 7 pupils from the 25th Aug.

  Nursery pupils can start ASC from Tuesday 31st on days they are attending nursery.

  9. Breakfast Club is available from Tuesday 31st

  10. School meals will be available from Wednesday 1st September . The children will need a packed lunch for the first four days.

  11. We are off on Bank Holiday Monday 30 August. ASC is also closed.
