Welcome to the Moneyrea Primary School Website! 

We are really glad you have dropped by. Hopefully, our website will give you a flavour of school life at Moneyrea and will encourage you to visit us to see the great work going on at 'our wee school'!

Moneyrea serves the village of Moneyreagh and surrounding areas including: Ballygowan, Carryduff, Crossnacreevy, Ryan Park and further afield.

    As a school community, we extend our deepest condolences to the Barnes family circle on the sudden passing of Basil. I know that our school family will rally around Charlene, Samuel and Jacob in the days ahead. We share in their unimaginable sadness and assure them of our love and prayers at this difficult time.     We have a small number of nursery and Yr1 places available for September. The application process closes this Wednesday at midday. Please share far and wide. Thank you

    The Yr4 children enjoyed watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as part of their topic, and they enjoyed drinking hot chocolate with mallows and cream!

    PLACES AVAILABLE IN NURSERY and YEAR 1 NURSERY CRITERIA IN A NUTSHELL 1. Socially disadvantaged circumstances. 2. Sibling currently enrolled in Moneyrea Nursery Unit or Moneyrea Primary School (Yrs 1 – 7). 3. Other Children. 4. Children who live closest to the school by public road. 5. If children live equidistant from the school, selection will be based on the initial letters of surnames arranged against a randomised list of letters. This is a summary version of our nursery criteria; full details are available on the EA or school website. YEAR 1 ADMISSIONS CRITERIA IN A NUTSHELL 1. Children currently enrolled in Moneyrea Nursery Unit who have a sibling currently enrolled in Moneyrea Primary School (Yrs 1 – 7). 2. Children who have a sibling currently enrolled in Moneyrea Primary School (Yrs 1 – 7). 3. Other children currently enrolled in Moneyrea Nursery Unit. 4. Other children. 5. Children who live closest to the school by public road. 6.
