Congratulations Ewan
Congratulations Ewan. I am sure the discipline, challenge and opportunities you have enjoyed being a cadet will stand you in good stead in your future.
Army Cadets Ballygowan and Carryduff said:
It was time to say goodbye last night to another of our Detachment Seniors who has came to the end of their Cadet Journey.
CSgt Ewan Girvan was one of our first recruits to join back in 2021 after we returned from the Covid lockdown and he hasn't looked back since with nearly 5 full years of action, adventure and making friends for life.
It is always a sad occasion when we have to watch our Seniors leave but we do so with enormous pride at the amazing young adults that they have become and the privilege that it is for us to have been part of their journey.
Ewan looks back at his experiences in Arnhem with us and his time with the Canadian Cadets in London as highlights of his Cadet Career and memories he will keep forever. His time as a Cadet has even inspired his younger Sister to follow in his footsteps, so as Ewan's time as a Cadet now comes to a close he hands the baton over to Freya who is just beginning her own Cadet Journey.
Thank you Ewan for all that you have done and achieved over 5 great years with the ACF. We all wish you a happy 18th birthday for tomorrow and the very best of luck for whatever comes next.
