Meet Sarah McCarter
Sarah McCarter is a Yr3/5 teacher who first donned her trainers a couple of years ago for a Couch to 5K—and hasn’t looked back since. What began as a simple challenge quickly grew into a real passion for running.
She’ll be taking the baton from Mrs Firth and running 
the final leg of the marathon, from Duncairn Gardens to Ormeau Park—and as if that wasn’t special enough, she’ll also be celebrating her birthday along the way! 
So if you see her out on the route, be sure to give her a cheer, a wave, or even better, sing her a birthday 
song 
to keep her going!
