Robert Huddleston Ulster Scots Poetry Competition

Judging has been completed and the list of winners is as follows (in no particular order) :

Rhonda Glasgow ~ "Lichter Moments"

Ewen Glass ~ "Gaitherin"

David Atkinson ~ "Delvin"

Final placings will be announced at an award ceremony in Stormont on 10 November.

The poems, "Messages" by Morna Sullivan and "Jawbox Lullaby" by Glen Wilson were also highly recommended.

We want to thank everyone who took time to submit their work, the standard was extremely pleasing throughout and hopefully, we will have achieved our goal of encouraging more folk to write in Ulster Scots.

One possible outcome of this project may be the publication of a book of new Ulster Scots poems.
