Celebrating the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Moneyrea

We feel it is important in the week leading up to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth that we take time to celebrate Her Majesty's wonderful life.

On Friday morning we shared a presentation celebrating the life of the Queen in two assemblies for Yrs 2 - 4 and Yrs 5 - 7.

The children learned about the Queen's love of corgis and horses, her amazing palaces and life of service. What a truly wonderful example to us all.

The Union Flag will fly at half-mast from the school flagpole until Monday 19th.

The flag will fly at its full extent from the 20th for a short period in honour of our new King, Charles III.

For the remainder of the week our children will have at least one lesson each day to help them think about the life of the Queen.

On Friday we will hold a minute's silence after our assembly.

School is closed on Monday 19th as a mark of respect for the Queen's funeral.
