On Tuesday, as the conclusion to their STEAM project, Yr6 visited the Whiskin Precision Engineering factory. Victor and Jim gave them a tour around the facilities and answered lots of questions. The company had made an AMAZING momento to celebrate the completion of cooperative work, and during the visit the pupils got to see exactly how it was made!
Yr6 have greatly enjoyed the project and would like to say a HUGE thanks to Whiskin, particularly engineers Stephen and Jim, the company could not have been more helpful and we hope to work with them again in the future. Also thanks to STEAM Education for devising such a beneficial programme. It has certainly sparked the interest and imagination of our pupils.
Look out for Yr6 - engineers of the future!
