On Friday 8 May 2020 we will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the silencing of guns and conclusion of war in Europe.
In spite of the current lockdown, we hope you and your family will put aside the home learning this Friday and join in this poignant day of National thanksgiving.

The Royal British Legion has asked that, at 11.00am, we observe two minutes of silent reflection, remembrance and thanksgiving for the sacrifices of the WWII generation, many of whom are our grandparents and great-grandparents.
'We will remember them'
A live stream will commence at 11.15am on the British Legion website and Facebook page.
At 3.00pm raise a glass as the Nation toasts the heroes of WWII.
'To those who gave so much, we thankyou.'
Churchill's speech announcing the Nazi surrender will also be broadcast at 3.00pm on the BBC.
At 9.00pm a good old-fashioned sing-alongΒ will be broadcast on BBC radio.
