European Day of Languages

We are celebrating EDL on Wednesday 26th September.

EDL will be a non-uniform day and we are encouraging all of our pupils to come to school dressed as children from other countries. Any country will do, not just EU, but preferably non-English speaking.

Dress code – International. Please don't go to the expense of buying costumes –- a jauntily displayed scarf and a Gallic shrug, or Latin smolder will suffice – improvise; it’s just a bit of fun.

We are also asking the children to learn a few words or phrases in the language of their chosen country.

The children will enjoy some international treats at break time, courtesy of PTA and will engage in some special EDL lessons with their teachers and our Spanish tutor, Joanne Kennedy.

It's gonna be GRRRRRREEEEEEEAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT!
