Just before school closed, we had just started learning about "Plurals". The children had practised adding -s and -es to the end of singular words to make them plural.
For example: one dog, two dogs
one box, two boxes
Here is the next Plural rule:
For nouns that end in a consonant, take off the -y, and add -ies.
For example: one puppy, two puppies
one fairy, two fairies
