Poetry Writing Workshop

Our Robert Huddleston celebrations got off to a flying start in our poetry workshop led by Ray Givans.

We had great crack exploring and sharing the meaning of Ulster-Scots words before using five of the words  to write a descriptive piece and then to create Haiku poems (Japanese / Ulster-Scots Fusion).

The musicality of the works of Huddleston and William Forbes Marshall the Bard of Tyrone certainly struck a chord with all participants.

We finshed the evening by using a photograph to brainstorm before putting our initial thoughts together in a short descriptive piece or a poem.

A gran wee nicht athegither!
