North Down Kwik Cricket Tournament

Our school Kwik Cricket team attended the annual North Down Tournament on Friday. The weather was sunny but a strong wind meant it was chilly out in the field. However, that did not spoil the fun for our cricketers who had a fantastic day out.

In our section of the tournament we were up against teams from The Model PS (N'ards), Westwinds PS (N'ards) and Andrews Memorial (Comber).

The team played really well throughout the tournament, narrowly losing to Andrews in their first match and winning against West Winds and The Model.

In the semi-final we were pitched against Academy (Saintfield) and once again the team put up a strong performance, but in the end Academy's captain and wicketkeeper saw them through to a win. Well done Moneyrea and congratulations to Academy who went on to beat Andrews in a closely contested final that went down to the last over.
